- Thumbs up to our cheerleading team for winning Regionals. We wish you good luck at states December 10.
- Thumbs up to our other Regional Champs, the LCHS Cross-Country Team. XCountry competed last month and finished in Top 10 at the WV State Cross Country Meet in Ona, WV.
- Thumbs up to our Sectional Champions–the LCHS Boys’ Soccer Team and the LCHS Volleyball Team. Both teams captured strong wins last month, but narrowly fell short of a Regional Championship. Congrats to both teams.
- Thumbs up our fall sports for an incredible performance. You made Lewis County proud.
- Thumbs up to Mrs. Garrett and the library assistants for keeping our library updated and clean.
- Thumbs up to Jasper for providing joy to so many students.
- Thumbs down to the Flu for infiltrating our school.
- Thumbs up to our hardworking cooks for providing students and staff with meals everyday, but…
- Thumbs down to inconsistancy in the breafast offerings.
- Thumbs up to all students and teachers for surviving the first nine-weeks.
- Thumbs up to the band for achieving first place at the Buckwheat Festival. The band also participated in several other competitions where they placed among the top bands/band sections in their division.

- Thumbs up to our TIS Department, and especially Mrs. Darnall for always working through the issues for us.
- Thumbs up to Youth Alive for their leadership in the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox donations.
- Thumbs up to the arrival of the holiday season. The school looks festive with many students participating in the door-decorating contest sponsored by the LCHS Student Council.
