‘Maids win two, lose one in first games

The ‘Maids stand 2-1 on the season with road wins against Keyser and Braxton.  The ‘Maids fell to Notre Dame.

Their home-opener is tonight against Liberty. The War Zone is planning a ‘blue-out’ and encourage fans to wear blue to the game.

The girls picked up the road win Nov. 30 56-52. Starting for the ‘Maids were Seniors Anna Tucker and Bella Posey, Junior Payton Campbell and Sophomores Emma Cayton and Olivia Krinov.  The ‘Maids were paced by the late game performance of Cayton who made some key baskets to put the ‘Maids ahead.

In the 62-45 win over Braxton, the ‘Maids saw balanced scoring from Posey who put in 19, followed by Krinov with 16, Cayton with 13, Campbell with 6, Tucker  and Emma Start with 4 each.

The JV team also chipped in a w.
