While COVID-19 darkened theaters world-wide, two Thespians captured a state title and brought light to the LCHS Theater Program.

Noah Stalnaker and Kadee Harper won Outstanding Duet in the WV Thespian Festival.

The Duo performed “Ready, Set, Not Yet” from the musical, Beetlejice.  Music and lyrics were by Eddie Perfect.

Stalnaker and Harper were under the direction of theater teacher and Thespian Troupe 2649 adviser Mr. Doug Seckman. Seckman directed and choreographed the song and said he was very proud of the students for stepping up and competing in the event.

“They learned it themselves, so that’s even more impressive in my book,” Seckman said.

Seckman said he was especially proud of the students because they were self-motivated to compete.
