For most people, watching a movie is a great form of entertainment. Who doesn’t enjoy a good movie–whether it’s from the safety of your own home, or going to the theater for the full experience.

This year is no different with an array of movies being released, many of which are looking very promising!

Number one of the list coming out March 3 is The Batman. In this film the well-known hero, Batman chases down a crazed murderer who is killing politicians. How exciting.

On a more relaxed note, Pixar’s newest movie Turning Red will be releasing March 11. Turning Red is an animated movie about a girl who turns into a red panda when she is upset; the movie has gained quite a bit of social media traction on both sides, with some saying it looks ‘horrible” while others say it looks cute…guess we’ll have to see!

Fantastic Beasts: The Secret of Dumbledore, the newest movie in the Harry Potter franchise, is releasing April 15, three years since the release of the The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Coming out not long after, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness a long awaited sequel to the more simply named, Doctor Strange. Releasing May 6, this movie is about Strange opening a forbidden portal and letting something into his world.

And set to release June 17, we have Lightyear by Pixar Animation Studios. This movie is about the the origin story of the Buzz Lightyear action figure. How intriguing?

One I am very excited about is Thor: Love and Thunder, releasing July 8, a sequel to Thor Ragnarok, one of my personal favorites in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It follows Thor and the Asgardians directly after the disaster of Ragnarok

Another part two releasing soon is Spiderman: Across The Spider Verse, the second part of critically acclaimed Into The Spider Verse. Many are excited as this movie won many awards, being called the best animated movie of 2019, though of course these are just opinions.

Set to release November 11, Wakana Forever follows Shuri, Black Panther’s sister through life in Wakanda. This movie will also be used to honor and pay tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman after his tragic passing in August of 2020.

Avatar, released in 2009, was a very critically and audicance acclaimed movie, one that many have either a strong love for, a strong sense of nostalgia, or a strong dislike. Fans of the movie are rejoicing as the news of Avatar 2 finally being released has come out. Thirteen years after the original, Avatar 2 will be released December 16, 2022.
