Dr. Carol Williams and Mrs. Julia Bragg visited Mrs. Michele Simms’ art classes, teaching them weaving techniques. They brought different weaving tools and some weaving example to show the classes. The classes will be doing hands-on weaving activities and learning the art of weaving.
They hope to get more young people into weaving and earn success in their achievements.
They displayed their tools and demonstrated the techniques to in the art hallway to accommodate the large art class.
Students said they enjoyed the presentation and are eager to try to create some woven projects.
Mrs. Simms said she really appreciated the guest presenters.
Dr. Williams is currently the director of Special Education for Lewis County Schools.
Bragg is a longtime, retired veteran science teacher.
