Mr. Allen Heath, LCHS band director, collaborates with RLBMS Band Director Adam Loudin.

The LCHS Marching Minuteman Band will head North to participate in the Preston County Buckwheat Festival September 27.

The nearly 100-member band will take to the streets of Kingwood as they participate in the Buckwheat Festival Parade.

Band members said they will eat at the event, and then head to Preston County High School Football Field where the Minutemen will take on the Preston Knights..  Members have marching throughout the student and faculty parking lots in preparation for this event.

The band was joined by eighth grader band members for the Elkins September 13 game.  The band helped with pre-game, as well as marching on and off hill.

They will also march in the Homecoming Parade, Jane Lew Halloween Parade, Veterans Day and Weston/Jane Lew Christmas Parades.

The band also participated in the Fairmont Band Spectacular at East/West Stadium September 14.  This was a multi-school showcase event; it was not scored or a competition.

The band is under the direction of Mr. Allen Heath.
