Drivers’ Education Offered to Students in Grades 9-12

Questions usually appear during the time of scheduling. What classes should I take? What will help me in the future? With these questions in mind, you should consider inputting drivers’ ed into your schedule.

Drivers’ education is offered to students in grades 9-12, but the majority of the students are in the upper grades.

Drivers’ education offers student the opportunity to learn to drive, park, and learn the basics of safe driving.

Mr. Charles Simms and Mr. Matt Gillespie are the two instructors for the class which will be offered almost every class period.

Sophomore Zane McCord said he enjoys the class and said it wasn’t difficult as long as you pay attention.

“(We drive) Once every 2-3 weeks unless it snowing.”

Teachers do not take students out on the roads if the weather is bad.

Those who don’t drive during class remain behind in class to learn about all aspects of driving.

When asked about who should take the class, McCord simply smiled and said “Everyone.”
