Teachers of Tomorrow

Students from Lewis County High School in the Careers in Education Program have been involved in several community service projects and educational field trips.  In late September, they visited several one room schoolhouses located in the Johnstown area.  Later in October, they made and delivered Halloween cards and goodie bags for residents at Crestview Nursing Home.

The students in this program visited Jane Lew Elementary School to observe classrooms of different grade levels.

Most recently, they hosted a toy and coat drive at LCHS to donate to “Toys for Tots.”  The classrooms competed and Mrs. Leslie White’s class donated the most items.

Starting January 8, these students will be doing job shadowing/internships with teachers at Peterson Central Elementary.  This group is also referred to as “Teachers of Tomorrow” led by Mrs. Priscilla Suan.
