7 Class Periods, a Mixed Review

For three consecutive years, the LCHS bell schedule has changed. This year, students have seven class periods Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Some have mixed emotions.

“I enjoy it because this means more time with my students, although loosing a class means less students that I will have,” Mrs. Hanna Cogar said.

“I don’t mind the change because it gives me more time with my students; however I feel like block scheduling can get confusing with having an 8th period only on Thursday,” Mrs. Rachel Boone said.

Others do not enjoy the change in the schedule because of the added time to each class.

“I don’t like it because classes are too long and feel like forever,” Bella Posey, senior, said.

Students said they have mixed opinions about the Thursday 8th period class. Many really enjoy their class, while others do not have a vested interest in the class. Many said they would prefer to have their 8th period, while some prefer to not have an 8th period at all.
