“We play together a lot better as a team and as a whole,” Head Minuteman Coach Ben Whetsell said regarding his team as they head into Sectional play February 20 at LCHS.

The opponent and time has been yet to be determined due to LCHS earning a first round bye.

The Minutemaids head into sectional play seeded second. Whetsell said he was pleased with the team’s leadership and effort.

“We get the ball out in the transition and up and down the court,” Whetsell said.  He added that team leadership has also been a key factor in the team’s 14 wins.

“We’ve had great leadership on the team,” Whetsell added.  Seniors include: Sarah Post, Desirae Ferguson, Paije Bragg and Brooklyn Sessions.

The team finished in the middle of the Big 10 Conference.

“We weren’t at the top or bottom,” Whetsell said.

Whetsell said the JV ‘Maids has also finished with a winning record of 13-6.

The team is coached by Kenton Boric.
