Drop-Out Rate Continues to Decrease

For the first time in recent school history, the drop-out rate has declined to an unprecedented single digit number.

“We are estatic about our declining rates,” Ms. Dodi Cook, guidance counselor, said.

The main factor in the reduction of students dropping out is due to the efforts of the guidance counselors working with LCHS administrators, and Mr. Randy Myers, attendance director.

LCHS had been designated as a Focus School for high drop-out rates.

Teachers said this is a positive change for LCHS students and teachers.
