Interact Helps Santa
December 7, 2017
For the more than two decades, the LCHS Interact Club continues to help the Weston Rotary Club with its Annual Christmas Dinner.
The Christmas Dinner is an ongoing project hosted by the local Rotary Club. Each year, the high school’s Interact Club members serve as ‘elves’ helping the elementary students, Rotarians and Old St. Nick, himself.
Elementary students are treated to a traditional holiday meal of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, and green beans. After eating lunch, students were visited by Santa Claus.
Each elementary student received a sizable Christmas present courtesy of Santa and the local Rotarians.
Interact members helped students cut up food, tie shoes and open presents.
Mrs. Debbie Gump and Mrs. Deanna Chenoweth served as LCHS chaperones. Gump is the local Interact adviser who has spearheaded this activity since she took over the club in 2010.
