The 2016 LCHS girl’s volleyball team lost some key seniors after last year’s season came to an early end in sectionals.

According to players, this year’s team is revamped with talent yet extremely young in certain areas of the game.  The ‘Maids lone senior is Alexis Rumbach.

“We are playing to the best of our abilities and we are winning a few games here and there,” Rumbach said.

Rumbach comes into this season as the senior captain after a stellar junior year.

“We are not winning games we should be winning, but we are playing well,” Rumbach added.  “We have some tough competition, but we believe it is winnable.”

“Just win baby!” is something that Rumbach carries throughout the team’s locker room to inspire the girls to continue to win. With sectionals just around the corner the Minutemaids stand at 6-9-6 as their record. With their next game being a tri against Phillip Barbour and Gilmer.

The girls are led by Coach Crystal Wagner.
