Thumbs Up and Down

Emily Paugh and Brianna Bennett

Thumbs up to allowing backpacks in classroom.

Thumbs down to low test scores. LCHS scored among the lowest in WV.  We know we are much, much better than that.

Thumbs up to sophomores winning spirit stick. Thumbs down to the sophomores if you are a freshmen, junior, or senior.

Thumbs down to students who left the Thuse and PowderPuff game early. We had great events planned, and people left.

Thumbs up to the change in the exam policy. We like the attendance incentive.

Thumbs up to allowing backpacks in classrooms. We are glad to finally be able to comfortably carry our class materials and supplies.

Thumbs down to the senior hallway being closed during lunch. We miss that meeting area.

Thumbs up to more parking in the student parking lot.

Thumbs up to “Breakfast with the Boss” program.  It is a great idea!

Thumbs down to second lunch being shorter.

Thumbs down to advisory taking up time in second period.

Thumbs down to our departed teachers and staff members.  We miss Mrs. Jena Whiston, Mrs. Tamra Hough, Mr. R.J. Cook, Mr. Tom Rogers, Mr. Mark Workman, Ms. Brittney Barlett, Mr. Gary Riddle.  LCHS just isn’t LCHS without them!

Thumbs up to simulated work place. Students need to have real workforce skills and be ready for both college and career.

Thumbs up to the new media room. It looks amazing! We are thankful to have a room for newspaper, yearbook and LCN to work on studio projects.
