LC’s most popular 7-Eleven in Weston is shutting its doors in just a few weeks.

The East 3rd street location in the center of town will close early afternoon September 21.

According to officials at the store, the 7-Eleven will close its doors for the last time between 12:00-1:00 p.m.

7-Eleven is closing due to the choice to not renew the lease. An employee at 7-Eleven on East 3rd street confirmed this is the only 7-Eleven in Weston closing soon. Haleville’s and Kitsonville’s 7-Elevens will remain in full function.

The 7-Eleven is the largest chain in the convenience store industry. It has more than 46,000 locations across sixteen countries including the U.S., Canada, the Philippines, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand. In Weston, West Virginia, there are three 7-Elevens. There are 7-Elevens on South Main, near Lewis County High School, and one on the other side of Main in Haleville and one in the center of town on East 3rd street.

As part of its farewell to the area, the store is offering a buy 1 get 1 free on Slurpees of all sizes September 12–18 due to the closing. There are four slurp flavors, Blue Raspberry, Coca Cola, Red Sourpatch, and Skittles’ Green Apple.
