The second water filteration system was installed in the upstairs academic area. Already, students have saved more than 1000 bottles from going into a landfill.

Thanks to Jill Balser and a grant, LCHS now has water bottle filling stations.

To date, using the newly installed machine has saved more than 350 plastic bottles from a landfill.

“I like the fact that it is purified water,” Katie Self, freshman, said.

“It was very cold and refreshing,” Jakob Gragg, freshman, said.

“When people are in rush to get to class, it fills up your bottle very quickly,” Keiara Cross, freshman, said.
