The Lewis County High School Young Writers’ Contest is underway for students in Grades 9-12.

English teachers said they are encouraging their students to submit stories for consideration in the contest.

Some classes are completing the contest as a class while others are offering it is as an enrichment opportunity.

Any student interested in submitting a story may contact any English teacher.

English teachers are: Ms. Shelly Allen, Mr, Doug Seckman, Ms. Sherry Carr, Mrs. Tonya Wine, Mrs. Debbie Wyman, Mrs. Jill Balser and Mrs. Lesley White.

The county winners will be announced in February.
